Attending: Mayor Vanessa Fleisch, Council Members Terry Ernst, Eric lmker, Mike King, Kim Learnard, City Manager Jim Pennington, and City Attorney Ted Meeker. Topics: Harbor Loop Meeker referred to the two houses the City was trying to purchase on Harbor Loop for a stormwater project, which had been budgeted at $1.8 million. One house had been appraised at $160,000, and the offer would be for $175,000 to help cover moving expenses. The second home was appraised at $148,000, and the offer would be for $158,500, also to help with moving expenses. He continued that the demolition cost would be $14 per square foot at a projected cost of $34,800 for each house. The total cost would be just under $400,000 to purchase the houses and demolish them, which left a savings of $1.4 million that could be used for other stormwater projects. Meeker said, if Council agreed, he would make the offers to the homeowners the next day. Council's consensus was to make the offers to the homeowners.
