New Agenda Items 10-19-01 Consider Ordinance Amendment-Commission, Authority and Board Appointments Two weeks ago, King recalled, Council discussed two changes in the procedure for making appointments to the City's commissions, authorities, and boards. One proposed change would allow the chair of the commission, authority, or board to be a voting member in the interview process. The City Manager would no longer have a vote. King noted that the City Manager had agreed with this change. The other proposed change, King continued, stated that if it was necessary to pare down the list of applicants to a manageable number for interviews, all Council Members would rank the applicants. He said they discussed this at the previous meeting, and it appeared to him to have support from other Council members.
