The purpose of the workshop was to discuss Authority plans and projects for the coming year and to allow each of the members to consider adopting areas of focus to assist with the implementation of those plans and projects. Chairman Nelmes welcomed the newest members of the Authority, Mr. Matt Davis and Mr. Jim Toombs, and wished them good luck. She then reviewed the purpose of the workshop, indicating her desire to list topics for review and action and her desire to determine which members would like to work on which project. f""" The following is a partial list of the subjects mentioned, without regard for priority or degree of importance: . Mr. Matt Davis indicated that he would help with developing improved approach aids, approach path protection and a height and hazard zoning. Chairman Nelmes indicated that she would concentrate on the aviation cluster development and would work closely with the Fayette County Development Authority. It was agreed by all that additional meetings to discuss refining the "vision" for the airport was essential and that it would take more than a few hours of planning to refine those ideas. Mr. Robert Kennedy, Director of Marketing at Atlanta Hartsfield Airport, a past speaker to the Authority, suggested that the Authority seek an outside "facilitator" to assist in the efforts to determine the "vision" of the airport and suggested an individual that he had worked with previously as one such person the Authority might contact. Chairman Nelmes suggested that setting a date in February might be appropriate for the first of such meetings, and indicated she would advise the Authority when a facilitator might be available. There were no formal actions taken by the Authority during the workshop and at 7:15 p.m. all present agreed that the informal meeting had been useful, and by acclamation the meeting ~~ 00"10 beg;," "gor" m. .
