FINANCIAL REVIEW/Aviation Director Report Aviation Director -John Crosby John Crosby reported that the Pathways trees that were accidently removed in the past have been replaced. The golf course trees have been removed and landscaping trees have been installed in their place. He also stated that a few more trees are scheduled to be taken down when soon, since the weather had delayed removal over the last couple weeks. Crosby added that the PAPIS are working. Chairman Whiteley asked what the ending cost was to PCAA. Crosby stated that $15,500 was the airport's cost and that the FAA will reimburse the Authority. He added that removal of the Pathways trees was also reimbursable by the FAA. He gave a briefing of a meeting held earlier in the week regarding the logistics and early stages of planning for a charity bicycle ride on the weekend of the air show. The bike ride would be to support Wounded Warriors, USO, and Cell Phones For Soldiers, to name a few. Lastly, John commented on the Civil Air Patrol issue regarding on airport accommodations for their meetings and other events. He said he has spoken with David Mitchell from the CAP and Mitchell stated that he has a committee in place that is working on deciphering what the CAP can allow for a budget to pay for a facility at FFC. Whiteley asked for a time ~ ~ ~ f frame that he could expect some more progress on the subject. Crosby replied that it would be up to the CAP committee to work out the different options and get back to PCAA on the matter. Financial Review-John Crosby Crosby reported the airport had a dismal month. He believes this is attributable to; February being a short month, the bad weather in February, and the weekly, significant increases in fuel costs. Although gallons sold in February exceeded the budget, the margins shrunk. Crosby stated one of the reasons for this has to do with pre-paid fuel accounts that some tenants have. He said this is not to the benefit of the airport, and he is working on finding a solution to this. Crosby made the comment that he believes another reason for the loss in profit is because FFC's price increases are lagging behind the airport's cost increases. Bill ~ Flynn suggested that he go back to the fuel pricing formula used in the past to ensure that the profit margins would be in check from now on. Whiteley then asked Crosby to also take a look at AvGas fuel margins because they are also shrinking each month. Richard Whiteley asked why the hangar lease account went down $2000 from last month. Crosby said it was because a tenant canceled his lease and we had to reimburse him for two months he prepaid for but did not use. v. aLD AGENDA ITEMS VI.
